Meet the newest member of our family. She is a gorgeous and loving torbie shaded chinchilla future queen and is a true love bug.
A “torbie shaded chinchilla Maine Coon cat” is a Maine Coon with a rare combination of colors and patterns, and are highly sought after.

- Torbie: A tortoiseshell “tortie” cat with tabby markings. It has a combination of black and red (or cream/orange) fur.
- Shaded: A pattern where the fur has a white undercoat with a mantle of black, blue, or cream, shading down the body.
- Chinchilla (or Shell): A variation of shaded where the fur is tipped with black or blue, creating a sparkling, silvery appearance with a pure white undercoat, rather than a full mantle of color.
So Storm will have a “tortie” color combination of black and red, but also has the silver gene and shading pattern characteristic of the “chinchilla” or “shell” pattern, so the colors appear very lightly tipped on a white undercoat.
Her gorgeous and complex coloring results in a cat with a white undercoat, with greenish eyes, whose fur is only very lightly tipped with red, black, and tabby markings, giving a very sparkling and predominantly silver appearance, with the ability to have more color variety in her kittens. She will likely have more patterns develop as she ages.
