Welcome To All 4 Paws Maine Coons

Main Coon Cattery

Your Maine Coon breeder in Northern California

At All 4 Paws Maine Coons, based in Northern California, we are committed to raising healthy, beautiful, and well-socialized kittens. Our breeding cats come from very healthy tested lines, with DNA testing performed on all kings and queens, ensuring strong genetics and vitality. Each king and queen was hand selected for their striking appearance and personality and they are also thoroughly tested.

“We do not want you to have to spend a lot more with surgery and testing when you get your kitten. We want to have your kitten to be happy, healthy, and ready to be loved and play”

Our cats live with us as family pets, and their kittens are handled from birth to ensure they grow into affectionate and well-adjusted companions. They enjoy a spacious home, outdoor enclosures, and a dedicated playroom filled with toys and climbing structures.

We only breed cats free from genetic disorders like HCM, SMA, and PK-def, with regular health screenings and compliance with TICA’s Responsible Breeder program. As a closed cattery, we maintain a safe, clean environment to protect our cats’ health.

When you adopt from us, your kitten will be fully vetted, spayed/neutered, vaccinated, dewormed, litter trained, and ready to thrive in your home.

One of my favorite quotes that has remained with me throughout the years since reading it, is the one listed below. It is a quote I try to honor and live by daily, both in my profession and day to day job, as well as my overall outlook on how to navigate life.

“We only see well from the heart. What is essential is invisible to the eyes”

– excerpt from The Little Prince by Antoine-de-St.-Exupery

We apply this same core belief to our new Maine Coon Cattery. My love for the breed started over 20 years ago, with a Maine coon rescue that was to be put to sleep at an animal shelter in the Bay Area.

Over the years, this breed has stolen my heart more and more each day.
They are highly intelligent, highly intuitive, vocal with chirping, interactive, and behave like dog companions who are gentle giants. Their calm demeanor makes them amazing family members.
They are some of the best emotional support animals I have come across as well.

We have four personal male adult Maine coons who are our original feline family members, and four dogs.

Jack

Jack is our oldest and most benevolent ruler and makes sure everyone stays in line, feline and canine alike.

He has had to have hip surgery in both sides due to severe hip dysplasia that developed when he was a kitten and can affect up to 33% of Maine coon cats. Unfortunately, there is not genetic testing for it, and some of it is genetic, but some of it can be nurture with encouraging very rapid growth rates, especially in males.

We want them to grow at a more proportional rate, since males can continue growing until age 2, and will not get their full coats in until 2-3 years of age. Females do not grow as long.

Felix

Felix is our second oldest Maine coon personal cat, and is a rescue as well.
He developed a ureter stone and went to UC Davis to get a ureter stent placed, but unfortunately rejected the stent.
He ended up needing to have that blocked kidney removed.

So far he is doing ok.
He is very loving and a great snuggler.

Drako

Drako is 3 years old and has been such a warrior. He’s a sweetheart and loves to be in the same room always.
He’s had a bit of a rough go also. He had bad hips and has had to have both hips have surgery on them.
Earlier this year, he developed very severe life threatening pneumonia after inhaled a piece of food and had all the lungs on his left side collapse.

He had to have them removed as they would not open up and he had a mass around that piece of foreign body material for several months. Luckily he survived the emergency surgery and is doing amazing with just the lungs on his right side.

Perseus

Perseus (Percy), is our more recent addition as he is just over 2 years old. He is from Missouri and after recovering from a bad gut infection as a kitten, he has grown up to be a 22 lbs handsome boy.
He is the ultimate social , curious, water loving, talkative, and sensitive boy.
He is very distinctive looking with his numerous varying grey patches.
We call him “the grinch”, due to his crazy toe fuzz that keeps evolving as he does, and grown into the stunning boy he is !
